Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy: Securing independence

Occupational therapy is an important person-related healthcare service. Its focus is physical activity for people, placing importance on various aspects of life such as self-sufficiency, leisure and productivity.

Occupational therapy is offered to individuals or groups in the areas of prevention, health promotion, curative therapy and rehabilitation. The occupational therapy degree programme at hsg is geared to a “Bachelor of Science” degree. Passing the state examination during your 6th semester additionally earns you an essential requirement for entitlement to use the professional title “occupational therapist”. The degree programme takes place alternately at both hsg and healthcare facilities, thus preparing you from the very beginning for your specific work with patients in the different clinical facilities.
