Health Reality
Real lab and interactive service platform for user-centred serious and health games in the field of augmentative realities
A large number of innovations in the field of augmented reality have emerged in recent years in the wake of digitisation.
This development can benefit the health care system and open up new dimensions in applications in nursing or therapy with the help of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR).
The project creates a real and digital environment through the Health Reality Labs and the Health Reality Platform to promote translation between the creative and healthcare industries in the field of augmented reality applications.
"Health Reality" means that the application of the technologies is not purely methodological-technologically centred, but always with the participation of future users to support therapeutic-rehabilitative applications in the field of augmentative realities.
Aim of the project
The objective of the project is to create user-centred health applications under consideration of regulatory frameworks and to make these applications accessible to medical professionals and patients* in the Health Reality Lab of the Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg).
The hsg evaluates AR/MR technologies in the real lab in terms of their utility in health care structures.
The development of an interactive, gamified HR platform serves to evaluate AR and VR applications by the user and the developer.
The consortium aims to create a concerted cooperation, translation and evaluation structure between the creative and health care industries in NRW for expanding realities in order to jointly deal with the challenges of the project.
