Expense allowances

Publication of the total amount of the University Council's expense allowance pursuant to Section 21(6) Sentence 6 of the Higher Education Act NRW:

In 2017, the total amount of expense allowances of the University Council of the Hochschule für Gesundheit was 13,880.00 €.

The University Council

On April 8, 2016, the members of the University Council of hsg Bochum were presented with their certificates of appointment by the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia during the constituent meeting.

The University Council members are appointed for a term of office of five years. The University Council elects the Presidential Board, advises the university governing body and supervises its management.

  • Born 1942 in Duisburg
  • Following his approbation and doctorate (Dr. med.), further training as a specialist for paediatrics
  • Since 1974, development of a paediatric oncology and haematology focus at the University Children's Hospital in Essen
  • 1981 Habilitation in paediatrics
  • 1986 Appointment as director of the newly created Clinic for Haematology and Oncology in the Centre for Paediatrics at the University Hospital Essen and appointment to a lifetime professorship
  • 1994 Member of the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Medicine, from 1998 to 2001 Dean of the Faculty of Medicine
  • 2001 until reaching the age limit (2007) Medical Director and Chairman of the Management Board by appointment of the Supervisory Board of Essen University Hospital
