Background of the project
Owners of care facilities are increasingly looking for graduates with sound knowledge of the management of care facilities and the institutional framework conditions under which such facilities must be managed. There is talk of a real management gap, to which institutions such as the Caritas Association of the Diocese of Münster e.V. respond with special trainee programmes.
Aim of the project
The aim of the project is the development of an online teaching/learning offer for students in the field of nursing and health sciences, which illuminates the topic "Institutional framework conditions of nursing care" from various aspects or perspectives. On the basis of an interactive learning map, students can select eight different modules - based on realistic scenarios - in the sense of self-directed learning, in order to work out the institutional foundations of nursing care. The offer can be used completely independently in self-study or integrated into a course in the sense of a modular system.
Expected benefit
The planned teaching/learning programme is therefore aimed at qualifying students for management tasks in inpatient and outpatient care facilities and in advising the providers of these care services. The focus will be on the interaction of nursing and health science as well as business and financial issues with a view to enabling interdisciplinary cooperation. Against this background, it requires the imparting of competences on several levels: Knowledge, understanding, application, analysis and evaluation.
