Short profile

I have a background in physiotherapy and obtained a Master's degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Sciences from VU University Amsterdam. I currently work as a research associate within the physiotherapy study area, and I am pursuing a PhD in pain sciences.

My research focuses on understanding why pain becomes chronic, with a particular interest on unraveling the interplay between multidimensional mechanisms in relation to musculoskeletal pain. By applying a network-based approach and computational models, my aim is to identify key factors that contribute to specific pain states, from acute to chronic, ultimately deriving targeted treatments.
